Vision and Mission of KIDS Camp
As we embark on this Equipping Course for KIDS Camp, it is essential to first understand the vision and mission behind this important initiative. The vision of KIDS Camp is to create a safe and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and develop a deeper relationship with God. The mission is to equip children with practical skills, values, and knowledge that will empower them to lead a purposeful and fulfilling life.
By understanding the vision and mission of KIDS Camp, we can align our efforts to help children thrive and reach their full potential. Through engaging activities, inspiring teachings, and meaningful connections, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of these young participants. Together, let's work towards building a brighter future for the next generation.
The way we work!
In the large group sessions of KIDS Camp, the primary focus is on providing theological impartation and ministry moments for the children. This means that through engaging activities, worship experiences, and teaching sessions, the kids have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of faith and learn practical ways to apply it in their daily lives. For example, during a teaching session on kindness, children may be encouraged to practice acts of kindness towards each other throughout the day, such as sharing their snacks or helping a friend in need. This hands-on approach helps reinforce the lessons taught and allows the children to experience the joy of living out their faith.
In contrast, the small group sessions at KIDS Camp are designed to foster meaningful relationships among the children. These groups provide a safe and intimate setting where kids can share their thoughts, feelings, and prayer requests with trusted leaders and peers. By creating a space for reflection and personal ministry, the small groups help children develop a sense of belonging and support within the camp community. For instance, a small group discussion on forgiveness may lead to a powerful moment where children express their struggles and receive encouragement from their peers, strengthening their bond and faith. Our small groups are also language specific, so that the children can talk about and grapple with the main session content in their home languages, solidifying it in their own hearts, minds and spirits.
Lastly, in the main sessions of KIDS Camp, an important aspect is crowd control. Ensuring that all children are safe, engaged, and attentive during the large group activities is essential for creating a positive and effective learning environment. This may involve setting clear expectations, using creative methods to capture attention, and having a team of volunteers ready to assist when needed. By managing the crowd well, the focus can remain on delivering impactful teaching and facilitating meaningful experiences that will stay with the children long after the camp is over.
