We guard our hearts by filtering everything that we think, our responses, our emotions and our desires through God’s Word. We need to guard our hearts especially in the areas where we are more vulnerable.

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

Think of an area in your own life where you might honestly admit that it is a sensitive case – it might be a person, a relationship, a situation at work, and every time this situation pops up, so to speak, it feels like you need to deal with your heart.

Begin to journal how you will choose to respond so that those situations do not take your heart captive anymore.
