EXPECTATIONS
Unrealistic expectations definitely will rob us of the joy that the Lord has in mind for us. List the situations that steal your joy at this point. Then read this scripture over each of them:

Philippians 4:8
“So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.”

Now write down one thing that is beautiful about the same situation. Sometimes we lose perspective and only focus on the negative. Find something in each situation that you can praise God for.
